They made shoes that I could only wear for a few hours so comfortable that I didn't have to take my shoes off at work behind the desk to save my feet. The cushions are clear, thin, and stay put, but still offer great support at balls of your feet, especially if the shoe has a high arch. They worked much better for me than Foot Petals, and was less expensive.
